The adventure starts Thursday, March 24th! I have an appointment to put the port in - no food or drink for 8 hours before (so I best be getting up early to eat my breakfast). They give a local anesthetic for the procedure, so hopefully I won't feel a thing.
On Monday, I'll receive my first treatment of chemo. Still not sure of the specifics, but it looks like I'll be going in once a month for that. We'll hope that this "mild" chemo, has "mild" side effects!
Thanks again for all your thoughts and prayers,
Paula
Thanks to your kids for this place to post messages. You sound like the trouper you are, Paula, as you explain this difficult process. Rich had a PICC line installed to receive his antibiotics for 6 weeks. Just had it removed Wednesday. He feels more free to get out/about.
