Mom checked out of the hospital today and is now back at the apartment. She has been doing better lately, since the antibiotics appear to have taken care of the infection. Her white blood cell counts are also slowly starting to rise, which is a good sign. She has more energy than she did earlier in the week. Since she is doing well, the doctors decided that there was no need for her to stay at the hospital.
She will continue daily visits to the SCCA clinic as before and she now has an additional antibiotic that she will continue taking via IV at home for the next week or so.
